Traveling Toy Camera Project
I’ve signed on to do a traveling camera project. Essentially a camera gets shipped from place to place with each person shooting a roll of film. In this case, the camera is a Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim. I’ve had two of these great toy cameras, so I’m looking forward to the opportunity. Grain Edit interviews ISO50's Scott Hansen →
ISO50 is the site that got me shooting film again. Hansen leans toward a retro ’70s esthetic which was never my thing, but the more that I looked at the vintage photos on his site, the more I came to like them. I doesn’t hurt that the design and typography of the site is wonderful as well.

Time
I wish I had time to poke around the Beta version of Tumblr. Seems like it may be an underwhelming upgrade, but we can hope for greater things, can’t we.

Melt
One of the hottest restaurants in the Cleveland area is Melt. It’s been a chore to eat there because of the demand, but today, I finally got a chance to sample their food. Yes, it was “all that.” I had The Parmageddon - pierogies with cheese and onions on thick cut bread. Wow! Too many carbs, but so tasty. Their hand cut fries were passable, but served a nice foil to the...

iPhone 2.0 firmware - doth I wait?
I have the software a day early than its intended arrival thanks to Gizmodo. A co-worker has already installed it, seemingly without problems. But I’m going out of town tomorrow and don’t need the hassles if the upgrade fails…

oh tumblr, you are amazing!
why would i want the hassle of installing and configuring textpattern, wordpress, etc? i know that it’s the learning experience and that i’ll feel better for having done it, but it’s so much easier on tumblr! you’ve done a great job, tumblr, but like all that’s too good to be true, i will begin to think that you’re the devil!

Going back
Today I wanted to go to the Sausage Shoppe in Cleveland, it being a favorite of my family’s since I can remember. It was recently featured on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservation. My wife and I grew up very close to each other, so after buying some yummy sausage, we drove to each other’s old cribs. First we went to her house which was in decent shape, but was a little more run...

My team loses again
So close for the Cavs this year, but let’s face it, the better team won. It’s frustrating because the Cavs and Indians have come close to winning championships recently, unlike when I was growing up  (’70s and ’80s) they never had a chance. My dad, also used to losing, always said “if you can’t win the game, make sure you win the fight.” This was mostly in...
